What is NAD?

It is key to maintaining healthy organs and a healthy neurological system. NAD+ can help the body to function better on a molecular level and it can prevent illness and signs of aging. It works in two important ways. First, it turns nutrients into adenosine triphosphate, a complex chemical that helps to drive many processes including muscle contraction and chemical synthesis. Then, it works with proteins to carry out a number of functions including mitochondrial function and DNA repair. Without NAD+, your body wouldn’t be able to metabolize carbohydrates, fats or amino acids.
